Tax - Manager
Overview
CFGI is seeking a Tax Manager to join its growing UK tax team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of UK corporate tax services, including tax reporting, compliance, governance and advisory.
You will work directly with clients and senior members of the UK tax team, supporting a diverse client base that includes UK publicly listed companies, US-headquartered multinationals, and UK privately owned and private equity-backed groups.
As part of a growing and entrepreneurial team, you will also have opportunities to contribute to business development and collaborate with colleagues across CFGI’s UK and US service areas.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of UK tax reporting services for a diverse portfolio of clients, including UK-listed companies, US-headquartered multinationals and privately owned and private equity-backed groups.
Prepare UK entity and group tax numbers in accordance with IFRS and UK GAAP, including relevant consolidation and GAAP-to-GAAP adjustments.
Advise clients on tax reporting processes, GAAP conversion projects and tax considerations associated with IPO readiness.
Lead the preparation and submission of UK corporation tax returns, managing day-to-day client interactions and ensuring information is obtained accurately and on a timely basis.
Manage tax compliance processes with a focus on quality, efficiency and cost-effective delivery.
Support clients with tax governance matters, including tax strategy, risk management and controls.
Deliver corporate tax advisory work arising from compliance and other client engagements, including loss planning and utilisation, interest deductibility, and the tax implications of trade and asset transfers.
Support cash tax modelling, group simplification, tax due diligence and tax structuring assignments.
Respond to and manage HMRC tax enquiries on behalf of clients.
