Advertised pay
- 56 of the 196 adverts state an annual salary. Taking the middle of each advertised range, the median is £35,000; half fall between £28,167 and £40,000.
- 15 state an hourly rate (median £13.75).
- 123 give no usable pay figure (for example "Negotiable" or "Competitive").
- Pay is as written in the advert. We haven't checked it against any visa salary rule, and an advertised salary says nothing about whether a role can be sponsored.
Data notes
- 5 adverts look like they may be in the wrong job family, for example "Crane Mechanic 2/2" (Other); "Crane Mechanic 3/3" (Other); "Early Years Family Practitioner" (Education & Research); "2027 Technology Analyst Summer Internship Programme Glasgow" (Finance & Accounting). They are counted as filed above.
- Left out because the location is unclear or in another region: 12 multi-region adverts.
- 2 adverts give a yearly-looking pay figure under £10,000, which is probably a monthly, part-time or mistyped amount: "Pharmacist" at Asda Stores Ltd (£1,404); "Pharmacist" at Asda Stores Ltd (£1,872). They are left out of the pay figures.
- None of the roles here are at employers with "NHS" in their registered name. SponsorHire's NHS listings come from NHS Jobs, and NHS Scotland boards advertise mainly on their own jobs site, so health and care roles in Scotland are under-counted in this snapshot.
How to read this
- Scotland here means adverts with a postcode in Scotland (looked up with postcodes.io), or that name a town in Scotland (such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness, Stirling, Paisley, Livingston, Falkirk, Kilmarnock, Ayr, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Motherwell, East Kilbride, Dumfries, Elgin, St Andrews, Cumbernauld, Irvine), or that say "Scotland". For registered organisations, it means a town or county in Scotland as written on the register.
- Adverts that list sites in more than one region, and adverts whose town and postcode point to different regions, are left out of the regional count.
- Pay figures: annual salaries where the advertised figure is under £10,000 are left out of the median and range (they are usually monthly, part-time or mistyped amounts). Hourly rates are shown separately.
- Listings change daily, and some roles in this snapshot may have closed.
- We match employers by company name and leave out ads we identify as posted by recruitment agencies. A match can still be wrong.
